Here comes Coco Business Plan ! Here comes a very new indie-pop band from France. Coco Business Plan are Julien Bouchard, singer/songwriter and already leader in the project (The) Silent Days, which placed his cover of the killing moon (echo & the bunnymen) in «The Following» a new TV series aired on Fox from January 21, 2013) and Vincent Loisy (drummer and painter, who was involved a few years ago in the french DIY and hardcore scene). Coco Business Plan were joined a few weeks ago by a third member. So now they are : Julien Bouchard (vocals and guitars), Vincent Loisy (drums) and Ottavia Simonin (synth, percs and vocals). From now the rule of the trio is clearly established. Together with a guitar, a drumkit, a synth and their voices, Coco Business Plan creates playful, melodic and clever indie-pop songs. They will release 10 «songeos» (song+video) from their debut album. «Hold On» is now available under digital format only on Bandcamp !

Coco Business Plan ! C'est la réunion de Julien Bouchard, évoluant déjà dans son projet (The) Silent Days, et de Vincent Loisy, artiste peintre Spinalien ayant fait ses armes musicales dans la scène Hardcore et DIY au milieu des années 90's. Dés le départ la règle du duo est clairement établie. Une approche musicale brute : avec une guitare, une batterie et un chant, Coco Business Plan ne tire que l'essentiel de ses chansons, joue entre les musicmakers et la redondance des arrangements. C'est dans cette direction, exigeant des compositions sans failles, une certaine énergie et beaucoup d'ingéniosité, que le groupe tend à évoluer, tout en abordant leur projet avec un certain sens du second degré. Depuis peu, le duo est devenu trio avec l'arrivée de la charmante Ottavia Simonin qui se charge du synthé, des percussions et des choeurs. Dans les prochains mois, Coco Business Plan va vous faire découvrir son premier album "Hold On", décliné en une dizaine de "chanséos" (chanson+vidéo). Ce premier album est enfin disponible uniquement sur Bandcamp !

Groupe de indie pop à la française, tendance Local Natives, les choeurs en moins, Coco Business Plan a déjà sorti un EP de 4 titres, Ha Ha Hoaw. Le clip a été réalisé par François Houbart et Gilles Munten qui ont aussi réalisé les clips de M83 (Steve McQueen). Tout est filmé au ralenti, dans des tons pastels, rétros : le clip est en parfaite harmonie avec un morceau doux et pop. (A Découvrir Absolument webzine)

Tout cela serait juste extrêmement sympathique si, en prime, Coco Business Plan ne réalisait pas également des pop songs classes et efficaces en diable. Chant, batterie et guitare et deux petits plus capables de faire LA différence : inspiration et inventivité. Fortement influencés par les Beatles, et dans la veine de The Bewitched Hands, des excellents Niandra Lades ou des incontournables Calc, il sortent leur épingle du jeu et proposent des compositions personnelles, non exemptes de mélancolie, mâtinées de regrets, de soupirs et de clochettes qui tintinnabulent, rappelant une insouciance souvent lointaine. Des combinaisons pouvant se dévoiler tour à tour naïves, réconfortantes, nostalgiques, douces, sucrées, simples et si mélodiques à la fois… (Popsteel webzine)

Tout jeune trio français d’indie pop, Coco Business Plan construit, avec force synthés, guitares, percussions et harmonies vocales, des chansons ingénieuses, aussi mélodiques qu’espiègles. (Les Disquaires de Paris)

Oscillant habilement entre justesse et vigueur, entre douceur et éclat : Coco Business Plan ne saura que vous plaire ! A la musique profondément imparable et entêtante, le trio français réussit à explorer la folk-pop mais aussi le rock indé, et sans éraflures ! (Jardin du Michel festival)

Une guitare, une batterie et un chant : il n’en aura pas fallu plus à Coco Business Plan pour nous balancer des chansons particulièrement entraînantes qui ne se cachent pas derrière une tonne d’arrangements. Il y a même là un certain punch qui évoque plus d’une fois le Rock alternatif des années 90, mais aussi la Pop par excellence, notamment celle des Beatles sur ‘Ha Ha Haow’, un titre à reprendre en chœur, ou encore celle des Boo Radleys à l’époque de ‘Wake Up’ (1994) sur ‘Radio’. Avec en prime une petite touche « US » à la Pavement sur des titres tels que ‘Basket Balls’. On s’étonne vraiment de l’absence de bruit autour de ce groupe capable de faire d’aussi bonnes chansons avec une facilité si déconcertante. C’est donc maintenant à vous de les découvrir !
